We’re a romantic bunch here at The Cosmo – probably part of the reason we have taken on the project of bringing this historical hotel back to life again - so we were delighted when we were approached soon after our reopening about hosting our first wedding. The ceremony and reception were held in our unique gardens and as you can see from these shots it was a beautiful day and a magical setting. We have more weddings booked in for the coming months and now that we have our warm and cosy stables open we are looking forward to hosting regular weddings here – watch this space. Special thanks to Meg and Tim for the use of these images.

We had to capture for posterity these images of the piano and 4 poster bed just as they were on the night of the fire. Its amazing how these survived as they were both so close to the source which was the laundry room.

Did you know that our logo is drawn from the signage over the corner entrance to Bickleys Bar?

We wanted to keep some links to the past with the hotel and after purchasing The Cosmo we were fortunate to catch up with Kristin Cook - a former owner of 10 years. She was very generous in passing on lots of history, stories and photos. We’re looking forward to being able to give the photos a home once we’re fully re-opened. Kristin also gave us some remnants of wallpaper which we have used on the backs of our menus and some flyers for the pub.

It’s a nice link to the past for the new Cosmopolitan.
